Science is beautiful when it makes simple explanations of phenomena or connections between different observations. Examples include the double helix in biology and the fundamental equations of physics.
A General Theory of Behaviour offers a whole new perspective on the Science of Psychology. The focus of the theory is psychological homeostasis, an almost ‘magical’ principle with revolutionary significance. This theory offers to unify Psychological Science under a single umbrella.
Any theory that makes novel predictions is regarded as successful. There is a huge potential to test novel predictions. In my original formulation there are 20 principles and 80 empirical propositions, all receiving strong empirical support (Marks, 2018).
